Speech Arts Awards Night 2011

This year's Speech Arts Awards were held at the Traditional Learning Academy. Knights representing our Council as 4th Degree Honor Guards were Brother Luigi Aiello (GK), Brother Jim Slater and Brother Alfons Franken. Roger Marquis stood as emcee and presented individual trophies. Thanks to all brother knights who have supported this worthy event!
March For Life in Victoria

Saint Joseph Statue at Holy Family Parish

One of our Council's most active members, Andy Heidrich regularly volunteers for events and even takes special tasks upon himself to accomplish. Such as the new statue of Saint Joseph erected along the parking lot side of the church building.

Ladies Appreciation Night

This year's Ladies Appreciation Night was held at Saint Francis of Assissi Parish. Worthy brother Knight Luigi Aiello was the driving force behind this event, organizing the cooks and managing to get over 100 guests to attend this important annual celebration and fundraiser.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner

Father Erik Deprey, pastor of Holy Family Parish, decided this year to have a first Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner. This traditional Catholic celebration is for the last day of ordinary time before the start of Lent. We had a good turnout of Knights to volunteer making pancakes, sausages and eggs for a large crowd of Holy Family parishioners.

Bowling Night

Singalong at Holy Family Hospital

Our Singalong at Holy Family Hospital was a good time of music and fun. Around ten Knights and wives were in attendance having a good time singing golden-oldies under the leadership of Roger Marquis on the microphone and his wife Gerti on piano.

Early Bird Grand Prize Winning Ticket Sold by Our Council!
Our Council has again sold winning ticket for the annual Charity Appeal! This year we sold the Early Bird Winner Grand Prize of $5000. Moving About
Everyone in our Council should personally ring up John Brown and thank him for getting Father Benno his wheelchair. Because Father has become immobile over the past several years, many of our brothers have not seen him at many functions. However, Father still says Mass for us once a month at the General Meeting on the 4th Tuesday of the month. And he makes it out to as many social functions as he can. Thanks to John Brown, our Insurance Agent, Father now has his own wheelchair. A brief writeup appears in the Columbia magazine. Click on below image for larger size.
Merry Christmas!
Dear Brother Knights and Families: Merry Christmas to one and all! May everyone have a good break from work to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and to gather together with family and friends to share authentic human fellowship. The photo is our annually installed nativity scene at Holy Family Parish with the Knights work of "Keep Christ in Christmas" program.
Remembrance Day
Our Council has once again hosted the annual Remembrance Day ceremony followed by light lunch in the church hall. We had about seventy in attendance including about fifteen members of our Council and 4th Degee Honour Guard. Thanks to all for attending and for helping make this a successful event.
Oktoberfest 2010!
Another year another Oktoberfest! Thanks to the suggestion of the great Vic Miller, our Council has pulled off another successful Oktoberfest with plenty of food, beer, dancing and prizes.
Installation of Officers 2010
Tuesday, August 17 our Council has begun inauguration into another fraternal year. Everyone was in attendance -- minus 3 officers of which we had stand-ins for 2. Our new District Deputy, Chris Fong, performed his role well and with decorum. Thank you Chris and we hope to see you soon at one of our general meetings! May our Council succeed in all its ventures this year as we overcome obstacles and create opportunities for ourseleves, our Council, our community and our Church!
